Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mondays, Fridays, and during October–November) where his embalmed body is preserved, and explore the stilt house where he lived and worked in a simple, traditional style. Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic 11th-century Buddhist temple dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, designed to resemble a lotus rising from the water. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, established in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty in honor of Confucius and great scholars of Vietnam. In the afternoon, proceed to Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of Hanoi, known for its legendary history of the “Returned Sword” and home to the rare giant soft-shell turtle. In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Ha Long Bay, approximately 160 km away (about a 2.5-hour drive). En route, stop midway to visit a handicraft workshop showcasing fine clothing and traditional embroidered artworks. Upon arrival in Ha Long City at around 11:30 AM, check in to your cruise after a welcome drink and begin your journey through the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay.
