In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Ha Long Bay, approximately 160 km away (about a 2.5-hour drive). En route, stop midway to visit a handicraft workshop showcasing fine clothing and traditional embroidered artworks. Upon arrival in Ha Long City at around 11:30 AM, check in to your cruise after a welcome drink and begin your journey through the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay. Enjoy lunch on board while admiring the breathtaking limestone karsts rising dramatically from the emerald waters. Ha Long Bay, meaning “Descending Dragon Bay,” is named after a legendary story of a sacred dragon descending from the heavens to protect the land. The cruise continues with sightseeing of iconic formations such as Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi (Fighting Cock) Island, Dog Island, and Sail Island. You will also visit the spectacular Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, followed by a relaxing swim at Titov Beach. In the evening, unwind on the deck and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay. Wake up at 06:30 AM and begin your morning with a refreshing Tai Chi session on the sundeck. This traditional practice uses slow, graceful movements to promote balance, relaxation, and inner harmony. Afterwards, enjoy tea and coffee onboard as the cruise continues through the peaceful waters of Ha Long Bay. You may then visit Titov Island or Soi Sim Island for trekking, sightseeing, or swimming in the clear waters. At around 09:30 AM, check out from the cruise and enjoy a buffet brunch while sailing back to the harbor, taking in the final views of the stunning limestone landscape. In the morning, depart for Ba Na Hills, passing along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street—one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Da Nang—and Red Beach, where the French first landed in Da Nang. Upon arrival at the cable car station at the foot of Ba Na Mountain, enjoy a scenic ride on the world-record holding cable car system (as of 2009), which features the longest non-stop cable car route (5,042m) and the highest elevation (1,292m). While ascending, admire breathtaking views of lush forests, waterfalls, and the pristine natural landscape. At the top, visit Le Jardin, the old French wine cellar, remnants of French villas, and the Linh Ung Pagoda featuring a 27-meter-high Buddha statue. Continue your journey to the mountain peak at 1,487 meters, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Da Nang city surrounded by clouds. Explore scenic spots such as Dreaming Stream, Rainbow Waterfall, Suspension Bridge, Golden Valley, and the ruins of the French Opera House. In the morning, transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town and begin your experience with a basket boat tour at Cam Thanh Coconut Village. Here, you will be warmly welcomed by local fishermen and guided through the peaceful water coconut forest in traditional round basket boats. You will also have the opportunity to try crab fishing and enjoy entertaining basket boat spinning performances by skilled local rowers. In the afternoon, explore the charming Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved architecture and cultural heritage. Visit highlights such as the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, the historic Tan Ky Old House (over 200 years old), Chua Ong Pagoda, and the bustling local market. Today, you will proceed on an excursion to My Tho, traveling through scenic countryside landscapes of endless flat rice fields along a busy highway. Upon arrival at My Tho, board a Mekong cruise boat to Thoi Son Island, where you will enjoy traditional Vietnamese folk music performances. Continue your journey by rowing boat through narrow canals, experiencing the peaceful beauty of the Mekong Delta. Visit local cottage industries such as coconut candy and rice wine production to learn about traditional livelihoods. Later, take a motorized boat to another island to visit a bee farm, where you can taste fresh honey tea directly from the beehives and enjoy seasonal tropical fruits. On your return to My Tho, visit the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda, known for its unique architecture and serene atmosphere. After the tour, return to Ho Chi Minh City for relaxation. After breakfast at the hotel, depart for an excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground network built by Vietnamese guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War. These tunnels served as hiding places, communication and supply routes, medical stations, storage areas, and living quarters. They played a vital role in the resistance against American forces. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore sections of the tunnels and learn how life was sustained underground in challenging conditions. In the afternoon, continue your city tour of Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, both excellent examples of French colonial architecture built between 1877 and 1883. Later, proceed to Ben Thanh Market, one of the city’s most famous and vibrant markets, where you can explore a wide variety of local goods, souvenirs, textiles, and handicrafts.
